The Peachtree Audio Nova includes a high-quality D/A converter, tube-based preamplifier and USB input (plus additional digital and analog inputs) to accept the digital signal directly from your computer, Sonos digital music system, Squeezebox, Apple TV or Wadia iTransport. The new Nova has all the benefits of Peachtree Audio’s wildly popular decco, but ups the ante in a couple of key areas. It features an ESS Sabre D/A converter that re-clocks the digital signal to allow absolutely no jitter. The digital signal is then passed to a high-resolution 24/192 upsampling processor that’s capable of 120dB signal-to-noise ratio for an incredibly dynamic range. Even compressed MP3 files sound dramatically better! The Nova increases the wattage up to 80 x 2, and its complement of digital inputs includes one USB and two coax and two optical. There are three analog inputs, too, for docking stations, CD players and phono preamps. One of the analog inputs can also be used as a home cinema bypass - when used in conjunction with a surround receiver, it uses the Nova’s internal stereo amplifiers to drive the left and right channels.
